Our Story
Our journey through the world of Autism started when I began my career as a graduate level teacher in a Special Education classroom. I loved being with my classroom but I felt everyday that I was failing the smart and talented students I was charged to educate. One day a Board Certified Behavior Analyst consulted in my classroom and opened my eyes to teaching methods specific to my autistic students. I started from scratch with a new career as a Registered Behavior Technician and learned all of the skills I was seeking as a teacher which led to a post graduate program to become a BCBA.
My husband and I fell in love in an autism center and met a little boy on the spectrum that unexpectedly got placed in our home. From that day on, we were on a mission to share what we’ve learned to help others in this community. These experiences provided an even greater understanding and appreciation of Autism not only as teachers and therapists, but more importantly as parents. Thus began our personal journey in the search for knowledge, tools, and processes to help families, providers, teachers, children, and young adults impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder both in Georgia and abroad.
